Tallahassee, FL - Governor Rick Scott’s job approval rating has stayed the same, at 35 percent, but according to a Quinnipiac Poll released today, the percentage of voters who disapprove of the new governor has more than doubled.

48 percent of the 15-hundred voters polled say Scott is doing a poor job governing. Pollster Peter Brown says the Scott brand is down right now, but he has plenty of time to repair his image before the next election in 2014.

“Currently, Scott is a four letter word in the state of Florida. But he doesn’t come up for reelection in the state of Florida for another 41 months. That’s a long time,” said Brown.

But not all of Scott’s plans are unpopular with the public. 80 percent of people polled agree with Scott’s decision to drug test state workers.

RICK Scott knows he doing the worstest things ever when he get ready to speak or answer questions he act like he isn't doing bad things he cover it up like it never happened who voted for him i bet they wish they should have looked into the light and thought it over because Rick Scott is a evil person that don't care about the poor.

Hopefully Scott will continue to do what needs to be done and ignore all these slanted articles. Who cares if some people are unhappy with what's he's doing, we need a viable government!

Here's the problem, he's a liar and he doesn't understand that the electorate has an absolute right to expect answers from him. Making yourself available to answer the tough questions is a part of being the Governor. Yet he hides and only makes himself available for controlled opportunities. After hearing him speak, its clear why he does it. He can't continue to say, "Because I said so" to the electorate because it will turn on him. Moammar Scott's woes are just begining. His destruction of Florida will be his legacy.

The only reason he is so unpopular is that he is doing things that is unpopular, he is actually trying to regulate the govt overspending and trying to get people away from feeding at the public troff, which they have gotten used to, at any cost...even though the govt programs are NOT able to live within their budget. Scott is the best thing to happen to Florida, just because you refuse to remove yourself from that public feeding troff, doesnt mean he is not doing his job.

You're doing a great job Rick! That's why all these nanny state Tally libs are screaming like the spoiled brats they are.

But he was the lesser of the two evils. I get so sick and tired of having to elect "the lesser of the evils"

I am glad we have a Gov. with enough courage to do something about the problem that was created by the ones we previously voted in. As for the boots, I care as much about what he spends his own money on as I care about what you spend yours on. He has been successful in his life. Came from less than most of you posting here. You should take pride in that. Open your ears and your mind. If you and everyone in the state are not willing to pay for everything, we need cuts. It's really simple.
