Madison, FL - According to a recent audit, the city of Madison is in deteriorating financial shape.
The police department could be a target of cuts that will help save Madison money.
Madison Police has a budget of just over 1 million dollars, or one-third of the city's general fund.
City manager Tim Bennett will present a series of options to try and save the city money at Tuesday's Commission meeting.
One of these options is cuts to personnel in the police department.
Other options include outsourcing sanitation services.
