Wakulla County, FL - Trees can cause severe damage to your home during a hurricane or serious storm.
It's why the Wakulla County Extension Office held a seminar Thursday - to explain some of the damage trees can cause.
The extension office director says two to 20 percent of damage after a storm is the result of falling trees.
"If you have a tree that is diseased, old, in decline - the best thing we can tell you to do is to get a professional arborist in and either trim it or remove it," said Les Harrison, director for the Wakulla County Extension Office.
Don't worry, if you weren't able to attend the preparedness seminar, you can still reach out to the extension office for help at 850-926-3931.
