(CBS/WKMG) ORLANDO, Fla. - May 14, 2012 -

An unidentified supporter of George Zimmerman sold gun range targets online featuring a figure meant to resemble slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin carrying Skittles, CBS affiliate WKMG reports.

Pictures: George Zimmerman charged with murder

The station reports that in an advertisement for the targets, which has since been removed, the sellers say they "support Zimmerman and believe he is innocent and that he shot a thug."

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting of 17-year-old Martin.

"This is the highest level of disgust and the lowest level of civility," said Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara, according to WKMG. O'Mara said he is worried about how Martin's parents will react to the image of their son on a target intended to be used for shooting practice.

O'Mara also reportedly called the sale of the targets "hate-mongering," saying it would only make it more difficult to try the case.

The targets reportedly do not show Martin's face, but feature a hoodie with crosshairs aimed at the chest. A bag of Skittles is tucked in the pocket and a hand is holding a can resembling iced tea. Martin reportedly was carrying both items the night of his death.

According to WKMG, the seller of the targets told them in an email exchange that the "main motivation was to make money off the controversy."

The seller reportedly said in an email that he sold out of the targets in two days.

Classy bud, real classy. Hey how about some targets in the likeness of My Lai villagers? Put me down for an Anne Frank or two while you're at it.

For all of you "justice for Trevon Martin" people: If someone punched you in the face and jumped on you and beat your head into the concrete,,,,wouldnt you be fearing for your life? It doesnt matter if you are following someone. That doesnt justify attempting to beat someone to death. You people amaze me. The kid attacked FIRST.

Ignorance like this is what keep news reporters and Police Officers so busy. I hope some of you are stupid enough to wear one of these. I think if you are stupid enough to wear something like this you deserve to become the target.

Maurice, these are targets, you don't wear them. If you are referring to a hoodie, do you suggest that someone in Alaska who wears a coat with a hood deserves to become a target too?

Why not GV, do people in FL not get cold? I'm saying it is idiotic to characterize anything by the coat they are wearing.

Really must be a horrible life to live if your racist. To hate something so bad but can't do anything about it. The fact of the matter is you can make all the ignorant comments you want about whatever races you don't like, your like the dog hollering at the moon. We live in a world of differences and you can't change that. Zimmerman will get his day in court and no matter what the outcome Trayvon's parents will never get their son back. It's a sad story but even more sad when you hear and see stories and comments like this.

How can you be so proud of being so ignorant? Whichever side of the Zimmerman/Trayvon argument, this is classless and juvenile. Enjoy your worthless life, trash.

No one but trayvon & zimermam no what happened. Also believe if sharpton & jackson it would not got blown so out of proportion. I DON'T agree with target sales. I still don't believe zimmerman should b able to claim stand ur ground. He didn't stay in his vehicle, he was chasing trayvon, not runnin from him.

First you say that "no one no what happened" but then you make a statement as if you do know. And I too think the targets are sick.

White folks on this site have sunk to a new low. To not care about parents losing their child is just demonic. I truly don't understand how you people can be so hateful. So proud to be black, as I do not want to be associated with a race of such hateful people. Leaving this site for good so don't bother to respond with your hatred. To my brothers and sisters who see this message, please consider doing the same. Let them spread their disgusting hate among each other. Justice for Trayvon and his parents.

Truth? Pictures of a 12 year old. Attempts to erase his online account and past acts of violence before being revealed? Truth, yeah, right....Martin was a 6'3" thug, nothing more and nothing less....

Actually, isn't it Zimmerman who attempted to erase his online account and hide his previous acts of violence?

So you lump all "white folks" together as being demonic? I agree that there is a lot of unnecessary and hateful comments on here, but attributing those to "white folks" makes you just as racist as those you call out. You won't be missed. Usually those that proclaim "Truth" get it confused with their own simple opinion.
