Tallahassee, Florida - May 24, 2011 -

Gov. Rick Scott wants to bring 700,000 jobs to Florida but there is one job in which he is not interested: candidate for president in 2012. Speaking to reporters Monday as part of daylong hurricane preparedness event, Scott went off topic to answer a question on whether his political ambitions included a run for the GOP nomination in 2012. Scott’s response was unequivocal. “I do not intend to run for president... There will be plenty of people running.” Scott said he’ll instead focus on his stint as Florida’s governor and fulfilling a promise to bring more jobs to the state.

HE WOULDN'T HAVE A SNOW BALL CHANCE IN HELL. WE MIGHT BE STUPID BY ELECTING HIM FOR GOVERNOR. HE FOULED US ONCE, BUT HE WANT DO IT THE SECOND TIME. HE CANT RUN A STATE LITTLE LONG A COUNTRY. WE CANT GO FROM BAD TO WORSE.
  • by Yes he should on May 24, 2011 at 01:35 PM
Actually, he should be encouraged to run, along with Rubio as his VP. That means they'll both have to resign their offices, so we're rid of them. Once the national media sinks their teeth into them, they won't be able to get a job bagging groceries at Publix.

He's holding his first office for all of 4 months and he thinks he's a serious candidate for president? Even if he was a good governor, which is obviously not this case...this is another example of his heightened and inflated ego. Get over yourself already!
