Gov. Rick Scott wants to bring 700,000 jobs to Florida but there is one job in which he is not interested: candidate for president in 2012. Speaking to reporters Monday as part of daylong hurricane preparedness event, Scott went off topic to answer a question on whether his political ambitions included a run for the GOP nomination in 2012. Scott’s response was unequivocal. “I do not intend to run for president... There will be plenty of people running.” Scott said he’ll instead focus on his stint as Florida’s governor and fulfilling a promise to bring more jobs to the state.
