The band will still be performing during the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans tomorrow (1-4).

It will be performing with all of the bands collectively during the halftime show.

They will leave right after the game to head back to Tallahassee.

Members from Rickards High School left early this morning 1/1/2011 to head to New Orleans to compete for a chance to perform in the Sugar Bowl.

The Raiders band performed last year in the Orange Bowl and if they win the competition in New Orleans they will be performing in the Sugar Bowl on January 4th.

The students have been fundraising for this event all over Tallahassee and they are all very excited about the chance to perform.

Pictures of the band leaving are attached.

That is exciting news for Rickards band, especially when they have one of their very own playing in the Sugar Bowl game (Rudell Crim) a former Rickards Raiders football standout and is currently playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks who will be competing in the Sugar Bowl. Way to go Rickards Raiders.....(Band and former Raider football star)
