On Wednesday November 10, at approximately 7:45PM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a reported robbery at 3111 Mahan Drive (Tropical Smoothie). Upon arrival, officers learned that a suspect entered the business brandishing a firearm and demanding money. The employee complied with the demand and the suspect fled the business.
At approximately 8:00PM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a second reported robbery at 209 North Magnolia Drive (Tropical Smoothie). The suspect was armed with a firearm and demanded cash from the employees. The employees complied with the demand and the suspect fled.
No one was injured during the robberies. Based on the preliminary investigation it appears the robberies are related and the investigation is ongoing.
