SR 7 and SR 32 Traffic to Detour Next Week for Railroad Track Maintenance

ASHBURN – Norfolk Southern Railroad crews will be performing track maintenance at crossings on state Routes 7 and 32 in Turner County next week, which will require overnight traffic detours.

Here are the locations and detour routes:

Monday, Aug. 25 to Tuesday, Aug. 26 – SR 32 at milepost 9.08 in Ashburn.
Westbound traffic will turn left on SR 7, right on West Madison Street, right on Mill Street and left to return to SR 32. Eastbound traffic will turn right on Mill Street, left on West Madison Street and right onto SR 7/32, or left on SR 7 and right to SR 112.

Tuesday, Aug. 26 to Wednesday, Aug. 27 – SR 7 at milepost 12.35 in Ashburn.
Northbound traffic will turn right onto SR 159 at the intersection of SR 7 in Ashburn, then left onto Interstate 75. Traffic will exit I-75 at Arabi, Exit 92, turn left onto First Street and right to return to SR 7. Southbound traffic will turn left onto First Street at the intersection of SR 7 in Arabi and turn right onto I-75. Traffic will exit at SR 159, Exit 84, turn right on SR 159 and left to return to SR 7.

Work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. each day at both locations.
