These parties are designed to feed egos. The egos of those elected, the egos of his staff, the egos of those to helped him get elected, etc. Nobody cares about these parties except for those that feel the need to be noticed. The rest of us will just stay home and save our money for essential things in life.

Crist needs to go to Publix and get himself some boxes, pack his stuff and get out. Then Scott needs to come in and unpack his stuff. No dances, no parties, no nothing. Quit spending the money!!!

I thought his campaign slogan was "Lets get to work!"? I guess we have to party first at taxpayer's expense. :(

Festivities? Let's skip that and save tax payers thousands of dollars, talk about wasted money!!! Closed streets, closed parties, close those public funding purses of the working stiffs. I don't want to see all the pomp and circumstances. Go to work and do your job. Raise your right hand in the front room on Adams Street and do the right thing. Skip the lame duck spending in a time of budget cuts.
