LONGBOAT PASS, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities have found the body of a 6-year-old boy who went missing in the waters off southwest Florida.
The Herald-Tribune reports that on Monday morning, the Bradenton Beach Police Chief told the family of Lamontea Taylor that law enforcement found the boy's body.
The child went missing Saturday evening while swimming with his cousins. They got caught in a strong current and rescuers pulled three children from the water.
More than two dozen of the child's relatives and friends gathered at Coquina Beach on Sunday to wait on news from the rescue crews.
The child attended kindergarten at Samoset Elementary School in Bradenton.

Officials say the child was swimming with his three cousins at Longboat Pass on Saturday when the children got caught in a strong current.
The Sarasota Herald Tribune reports rescuers pulled three children from the water but could not find the fourth.
Several agencies searched for the boy using boats, jet skis and a Coast Guard air ship.
With no sign of the child, officials suspended the search Saturday night, but resumed on Sunday.
