In an effort to reduce the impact of the seasonal flu and connected illness, enrolled/eligible veterans may obtain a seasonal flu vaccination from now until March 31, 2014 at all North Florida/South Georgia Veteran Health System facilities.
Many people suffer severe consequences from the flu. It is very important for every veteran to get his or her flu shot. The flu shot is the only measure of protection from the influenza virus. If you have not had your flu shot yet for the year, ensure you receive one as soon as possible. If you received the flu shot outside of the VA or for more information on flu vaccine sites, please call the flu hotline at 1-800-324-8387, ext. 3358.
Flu Vaccine are offered to enrolled/eligible Veterans at the following location and times (except Holidays) through March 31, 2014:
The Gainesville VA Medical Center, Monday through Friday, Vaccines are available in the basement Plastics Clinic, first floor Specialty Clinic and Primary Care, second floor GYN/Podiatry Clinics, third floor Specialty Clinic 3A and fourth floor Medicine Clinic 4E and 4C.
The Lake City VA Medical Center - Monday through Friday in the Orange and Blue Primary Care Clinics.
The Tallahassee Outpatient Clinic - Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12 Noon and 12:45 p.m. 3:30 p.m.,
The Jacksonville Outpatient Clinic - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Jefferson location and Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 1100 a.m.at the SouthPoint location.
The Villages Outpatient Clinic - Monday through Friday 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The Marianna Community Based Outpatient Clinic - Monday through Friday 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time)
The Valdosta Community Based Outpatient Clinic - Monday through Friday 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
