TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) --
Florida State's Christian Ponder is being honored as the top student-athlete football player in the Atlantic Coast Conference for 2010.
Ponder graduated from Florida State in two and a half years in
May of 2008 with a degree in Finance, compiling a 3.73
undergraduate grade point average. He completed his MBA degree last
May with a cumulative 3.70 GPA and is now seeking a second masters
degree in sports management.
Ponder ranks 22nd on the ACC career total offense list and is
24th in career passing yardage heading into Saturday's championship
game against Virginia Tech.
The annual award is named after the late Jim Tatum, who coached
at Maryland and North Carolina in the 1950s and was a two-time ACC
Coach of the Year.
