Tallahassee, Florida —
Today, October 5, State Senator Al Lawson endorsed Stephen Hogge for Tallahassee City Commission citing his long-term friendship and close working relationship with Mr. Hogge.
“I have known Stephen for nearly twenty years, and can personally attest to his experience, his commitment to this community and his commitment to all of the people in this city,” said Lawson. “I rarely get involved or endorse in local elections, but Tallahassee voters have a unique opportunity to elect someone with the legislative skills and experience Tallahassee needs in these tough economic times,” Stephen is the only candidate in this race with the kind of experience and legislative relationships needed to help save state jobs,” added Lawson.
Lawson is the outgoing State Senate Democratic Leader in Florida who has served the people of North Florida for nearly three decades.
“I am honored and humbled to have such a well-regarded leader from our community willing to step up on my behalf,” stated Hogge. “I had the pleasure of watching Senator Lawson up-close and personal for many years while working in the Legislature and have always found him to be a sensible voice of principle and reason, often working across party lines to get things done. That’s exactly the kind of Commissioner I will be. I value his opinion and am grateful for his endorsement,” added Hogge.
Stephen Hogge faces Nancy Miller in the November 2nd runoff in the race for Tallahassee City Commission Seat 3.
