Tallahassee, Florida-Shoppers at Market Square got a chance to give back to some veterans in need.

Ten Thousand Villages at Market Square hosted a fundraiser for Tallahassee's Veterans Village. A portion of all the proceeds collected from Thursday evening's sales would go to the Veterans Village.

Veterans Village provides transitional housing for men and women who served in the armed forces.

"Everyone in our community is going through a tough time right now. It really helps when people can come together and they are able to help one another," says Murdina Campbell, manager of Ten Thousand Villages.

Between 15 to 20 percent of the profits collected from the fundraiser will go to Tallahassee's Veterans Village.
