Short on Men, Fla. Retirement Home Hires Dance Partners

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) --

One Florida retirement community has found a solution to its perennial problem of not having enough men at their Valentine's Day dance: They're hiring.

Women vastly outnumber men in senior housing and nursing homes
across the U.S.

Edgewater Pointe Estates in Boca Raton, Fla., hires men to make
sure all the single ladies have a dance partner. They get some
volunteers from a local college fraternity, too.

One of the men, Hewitt Bruce, says he rarely sees a woman leave
the dance floor without a smile on her face. He says his presence
brings women back to another time and, in a sense, brings them
hope.

Sounds like there is truth in the statement "women drive men to an early grave". LOL
