Tallahassee, FL (AP) -Democratic Congressman Ron Klein has
lost his bid for a third term in a South Florida district.
Klein lost Tuesday to Allen West, a tough-talking retired Army
lieutenant colonel from Deerfield Beach. He will become the first
black Republican to represent Florida in Congress since the 1870s.
It was a rematch of their race two years ago in the 22nd
District. Klein was an easy winner then, but West turned the tables
this year on the Boca Raton lawyer.
With 80 percent of the expected vote counted, West had 55
percent while Klein had 45 percent.
The district is almost equally divided between Democrats and
Republicans. Klein defeated longtime Republican Congressman Clay
Shaw in 2006.

All I have to say is keep an eye on Col. West!! This man is going places. This man has that lost trait called common sense. He is well versed on foreign affairs, tells it like it is (something that our politicians don't think the American people can handle) and has the stuff to become a serious contender for president in the future. If he ever runs for President, he's got my vote!!
