Some Florida Elementary students are getting free acting lessons from a big star.

Conner Snyder is a former Broadway performer and she played a nurse on the hit series M*A*S*H. She's putting on a theater performance at South Hamilton Elementary School Friday as a part of the HOPE Summer Program.

Snyder runs a California-based theater camp for youth called "Kids4Broadway".

Eyewitness News reporter Greg Gullerg sat down with Snyder to find out where her passion comes from.

"I want to get these kids excited and passionate about something. Not just necessarily drama but about life. And I keep telling them if you don't want to do drama that's fine. But I want to get you kids excited about something and that's what it's all about to me," Snyder said.

Friday's show is free for all ages but the school is accepting donations.
