Democrat Al Lawson joined students at FAMU at a rally and march for early voting. Lawson was joined by other state and local representatives as dozens of students marched from FAMU's campus to the Leon County Courthouse to cast their ballots for early voting.
"I think it's important to march to exercise our civic duty to go out to the polls and vote. Let people know that we're aware of what's going on in our country, we're not ignorant to what's going on in our elections, and that we hold a stake in this election," said FAMU senior Inita Knox.
Rep. Steve Southerland spent his Monday participating in two town halls meetings in Tallahassee and Panama City. Southerland met with 2nd Congressional District Veterans about what concerns they had with a little more than a week to go before the election.
