St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge Affected By Government Shutdown

The St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge in Wakulla County may soon be forced to close due to the government shutdown.

St. Marks Refuge Manager Terry Peacock says, most employees will be furloughed.

A few employees will be designated as 'essential' and will work during the shutdown period.

Peacock says, for now all national wildlife employees should report to work on Monday morning as usual.

And If there is a shutdown, each employee will be given instructions on his or her status.
