Students from Leon High School and FAMU came out Saturday 5-5-12 to raise awareness about climate change.

They're doing it as part of Climate Impacts Day. The global event 'connects the dots' between extreme weather events and climate change.

"Florida is especially going to be impacted by the climate crisis because of the fact that we have such a large coast line as the sea level rises a lot of our areas are going to be under water," says LaRae Donnellan of the FAMU Green Coalition.

Donnellan says some of the signs of climate change are that the average temperature for this past March was 8.7 degrees higher than normal.
