This morning at 7:40 units from Tallahassee Fire Department stations 2, 8, and 10 responded to the report of a house fire on the 4400 block of Sweetleaf Lane after the next-door neighbor noticed smoke coming from the roof.

On arrival, firefighters found the structure unoccupied, as the owner was out of town, and proceeded to quickly extinguish the fire, which started in a bathroom.

The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature, but is under investigation. Damages are estimated at $20,000. No
injuries were reported.
