The worst thing about this is at 16 teenager girls are of legal age of consent. So basically, she is just another teenager rebelling against her parent/parents. The parents can't punish them for fear of charges with the DCF. Parents hands are tied and teenagers know this and use it to their advantage.

Think this girl needs some serious punishment. I know this young lady and trust me she will do it again and her mom needs to put her foot down and be a mom and stop letting her be the adult. Mom you need to take charge and i hope you will this time.

More likely, a runaway. Got tired of being told what to do and when to do it. Basically, being a teenager. Though in my day, we didn't runaway from home, we just found a boy with the most money, had sex with them, got pregnant, then got married. So it's the same thing going on now as it was in my generation and generations before me.
