New numbers from Triple-A show gas prices rising in the Southeast.
The organization's analysts say the increase breaks a downward trend for gas prices. They say the rise is due to tensions in the Middle East as well as falling U.S. jobless claims.
The Southeast region of the country still has some of the lowest prices in America.
"We'd love gas to be at two dollars (laughs) but I mean it's not that bad, it got up to four dollars a couple months ago and that was getting a little pricey," said Leon County resident Diego Figueroa.
Triple-A says the national average for a gallon of regular is $3.79, with Florida's average slightly lower at $3.71.
