Dozens of residents laced up their sneakers for a good cause today. It was all part of "Moving Day Tallahasee"...a walk to raise awareness for Parkinson's Disease.
Proceeds from the walk will benefit the National Parkinson Foundation North Florida Chapter and the National Parkinson Foundation.
Vendors were also on site to offer support and information to those who suffer from the disease and their caregivers!
Janice Pedler of the National Parkinson Foundation North Florida Chapter spoke about how the event engorges awareness.
"This is to get people aware of Parkinson's, the disease. It effects quite a few people here in this area and we want people to come out and have fun and enjoy themselves!," said Pedler.
WCTV's Angela Howard was the emcee of the event. Organizers say close to 300 people registered for the walk.
