Two men walked into a local Dollar General store last night and they weren't looking for last minute gifts.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office says the men pulled guns and robbed the store at the corner of Crawfordville Highway and Whittaker Road at about 9:30 Tuesday night (12/21).

LCSO says no shots were fired and no one was hurt, but the robbers got away on foot. They were wearing black hoodies, but not much more is known about the robbers at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.

Security cameras are installed at all of these stores. How could there be no other information regarding the thugs?

The thugs have taken over Tallahassee. Robberies many times every day and the citizens don't seem to demand that the police or sheriff change their strategy. Pretty amazing to me.

Billo, how do you figure DOC has the biggest budget?

Anonymous on Dec 22, 2010 at 12:56 PM...please educate yourself before spouting off at the mouth sounding foolish. Obviously you believe everything you see on TV, not surprising after the comment you posted. The fact is FL has the most prisons in the country and the biggest budget of any department in the state. DOC needs to seriously be evaluated and cuts need to be made.

who done that, not MUCH more is known. They may know more, but not much. It didn't say nothing more is known. They may not want to release any other information right now. If the guy was purple, it would be easy to spot him, and they wouldn't want to tip him off too early. David, the 10-20-life thing is a State thing not a Tallahassee thing, and yeah it is still relevant in this situation. Seems like thoughtless questions.

wow - talking about using prison for robbers when Scott is letting all the bad guys out of prison to save money. now there's a conflicting directive.

Does Tallahassee still do the 10-20-Life for Gun use in a Criminal act? If so, they should use it more often and stop with the Plea Bargins, THEN maybe these Thugs will think twice before commiting a Crime.
