Kate Snyder decided to wait until the last minute to file her taxes. Actually she was filing an extension on Tax Day, the last day taxpayers can report their earnings to Uncle Sam without penalty.

"This is actually my first time really filing taxes for a real job. You know I didn't really know what I was doing, so I pretty much procrastinated and all that good stuff," said Snyder.

Shawn Wesley goes by the "Tally Tax Man." He says this time of year is obviously busy, but it's getting less personal and he has many clients contacting him online.

"I wouldn't say lazy. Taxes are complicated and people dont' want to deal with it so they just put it aside," said Wesley on why some people choose to wait until the last minute.

The ease of filing taxes online is a big factor in why many post offices, are not staying open late.

Companies are using the annual affair to offer deals. Your 1040 can add up to free popcorn at the movies, free appetizers at some chain restaurants, or you can get 12 bagels and some cream cheese at Bruegger's Bagels for $10.40...get it?
