5/20/11 --- Lee County, FL --- 1:45pm:
Workers at a Lee County, Florida supply warehouse catch two alleged thieves in the act. But the branch manager says one of the burglars then made a jaw-dropping request.. asking him for a job.
Ralph Nieves says he was shocked after finding Ashley Williams and Browen Sweet breaking apart and taking off with a portion of his company's fence, in broad daylight! He told Sweet to take the fencing out of his car and put it back together but he refused. Nieves says Sweet then asked him for a job!
"Really? For God's sakes, really?! Ask me for a job first, don't steal and then ask," says Nieves.
The suspects later told Lee County Sheriff's Deputies they were "junking", or looking for stuff to sell. Now the two are behind bars for felony grand theft.
