Tallahassee, FL - The Tallahassee Police Department arrested three people for fraud charges. The charges relate to an EBT/food stamps scheme where the suspects were allegedly stealing other people's identities and information in order to obtain their Electronic Benefit Transfer cards. The suspects then used the cards for their own use, or sold the cards for money.
The three men are identified as Darius Jemmott, Rodrigue Bissainthe, and Dwayne Phanor.
Bissainthe, identified as a FAMU student in the probable cause, allegedly requested a change of address for 54 people who receive EBT benefits.The address used for all 54 cases was the same.
The Tallahassee Police Department, the Department of Financial Services, and the Department of Children and Families were all a part of the operation.
