Tallahassee,FL-A piece of history was in Tallahassee Saturday.

A P-51C Mustang aircraft was one display at the Tallahassee Airport. It was part of the 2nd Annual Red Trails Project.

The event takes a look at the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. They were America's first black military pilots and flew during World War II.

Some of the airmen say they hope people learn from the exhibit that it's important to treat everyone equally.

"To not be denied a right, an opportunity to accomplish anything that you would like to accomplish," said Cornelius Davis, a Tuskegee Airman.

Organizers say last year's event drew more than 2,000 people.
