[UPDATE] Deputies Searching for Missing Teen

[UPDATE] 10/8 3:33PM --

Eyewitness News has learned from the Leon County Sheriff's Office that they now have reason to believe others were involved in the disappearance of Emily Sweet. After interviewing friends of Sweet, LCSO deputies suspect some level of involvement in her disappearance. LCSO is in the considering pressing charges against those who have her hidden.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office wants to remind citizens that helping a runaway stay hidden can lead to charges being pressed.

LCSO Press Release - The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in locating 16 year old Emily Faith Sweet. Sweet was last seen in the area of 410 Victory Garden Drive, at Windrush Village Apartments on August 09, 2010. Sweet was last seen wearing black nylon shorts, a gray t-shirt and black running shoes.

Sweet is described as a white female. She stands 5’-05” tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. Sweet has brown hair and brown eyes.
