U.S. Marshals surrounded a Tallahassee home this morning and say they were met by a man with a gun.

They went looking for 28 year old Hoyt Birge.

They tried to nab him at a Park Avenue apartment last week with no luck.

Today, they caught up with him at a home at 2626 Hastings Drive, off North Monroe Street.

U.S. Marshals say the homeowner answered the door with a pistol in his hand. U.S. Marshals spokesman Marty West says no shots were fired by the homeowner or the arrest team.

Ultimately Birge was arrested for violating his probation.

Marshals say they found marijuana, scales and baggies in plain sight and found three handguns in the house too.
