Tropical Storm Debby brought one family's vacation to an abrupt and frightening end.

A family stranded on Dog Island just off the coast of Carrabelle had to be rescued by helicopter.

Coast Guard video shows the house surrounded by water and breaking waves.

The U.S. Coast Guard says a man called for help, saying five adults, four children and two dogs, were stuck in a vacation home on the southwest end of the island and couldn't get out.

The Coast Guard showed up with a Jayhawk helicotper. They loaded everyone into baskets and lifted them to safety.

The family was taken to the Carrabelle Airport and no one was hurt.
