ORLANDO, Fla.-- June 24, 2012

Some 50 ribbons or medals will be given to veterans during a ceremony in Orlando.

The ceremony will take place Sunday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in central Florida. This will be the first time many of the veterans will be recognized for their service.

The Orlando Sentinel reports one Vietnam vet will receive 32 ribbons from his three tours of duty. Another will receive the Bronze Star. Korean War veterans will be given the Korean Defense Service Medals, and several Purple Heart medals will be awarded.

The local Korean War Veterans Association is hosting the event along with the local Korean Senior Society.
