Associated Press Release
LAUDERHILL, Fla. (AP) -- A man and his wife are accused of assaulting a Dunkin' Donuts employee for getting their coffee order wrong.
The incident on Tuesday at the Lauderhill eatery was captured on surveillance video.
The Miami Herald (http://hrld.us/174rxSM ) reports 27-year-old Jeffrey Wright and 22-year-old Alexis Longo placed an order at the drive-thru. When their order was delivered Longo realized she got caramel in her coffee instead of vanilla.
Police say they went inside and asked to speak to a manager. Before he arrived, an argument broke out with the person who took their order. Longo tried to hit the employee and her husband jumped in. Other customers tried to help.
The video shows Wright pulling a 9mm handgun and pistol-whipping the employee.
Longo and Wright remain in the Broward jail.
