Crawfordville, Florida --
Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested a 26-year-old Panacea man and a 24-year-old Crawfordville man in connection with the theft of auto parts and a flat bed trailer on Nov. 23, according to Sheriff David Harvey.
Dustin Michael Murray, 26, and Garrett Mizell Revell, 24, were charged with grand theft and theft of motor vehicle parts. The case was first reported by victim Darrell L. Conley of Crawfordville on Nov. 17.
Investigators received a tip about the whereabouts of the trailer on Carraway Cutoff Road in Crawfordville. Detectives Derek Lawhon and Nick Boutwell went to the address and discovered a flatbed trailer in the yard that fit the description of the missing property. All of the property on the trailer was recovered at the same location.
Revell and Murray were transported to the Wakulla County Jail without incident. The stolen property, valued at $2,500, was transported to the WCSO impound yard at the request of the victim. Both men posted $5,000 bonds and were released from jail on Nov. 24. Deputy Billy Metcalf also investigated.
