It's crunch time at the polls with only a few days left of early voting before Election Day. A new poll by TallahasseeVoices asked 6 thousand residents in Leon County what makes the perfect politician.

Of the more than 500 people who responded, 64 percent of voters say they'd vote for a political candidate who was fiscally conservative and socially moderate to liberal.

Of those folks, 75 percent are liberals and moderates and 39 percent were conservatives.

"I think judging by what's happened in the past few years I think we do need a lot more regulation on the economy I think that's what's caused all of this.. so yeah if they're fiscally conservative and socially liberal then I'd prob be more likely to vote for them," says voter Jennifer Gallagher.

"In my mind it's important they say they'll be fiscally responsible - the word conservative doesn't- it's not a good buzz word for me," says Joan Kanan.

Charlie Crist and Alex Sink are the only state or national politicians who were viewed as the more fiscally conservative candidates, while Rick Scott and Marco Rubio fall on the bottom of the list.

While some folks consider a politician's advertisement when they go into the voter booth, others say they do their own research when it comes to what a candidate stands for.

"I think the fact that most candidates gonna runon what the country is running on. If they're saying that they're fiscally conservative of course they're going to run on that - I think we have to do out homework when we're looking at a candidate," says voter Dexter Baker.
