TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- WORKFORCE plus and Leon County will host a free job seeker workshop on Tuesday, May 31, at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library System's main library, 200 W. Park Ave., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Attendance is free, and registration is not required.
Leon County and WORKFORCE plus want individuals looking for employment to have access to as much information and resources as possible and have joined together in a partnership to provide area job seekers with tips, trends and tools to assist them with their job search.
The 90-minute workshop will cover topics including resume writing, interviewing, networking and conducting an online job search. With the unemployment rate at 7.6 percent for Leon County, this is just one of the many strategies WORKFORCE plus is implementing to support our local community in its economic recovery.
"WORKFORCE plus is excited about our partnership with Leon County as well as the opportunity to assist local job seekers in getting the most out of their job search," said Kimberly A. Moore, CEO of WORKFORCE plus. "Job seekers should take advantage of free workshops, such as this, as a way to stay current on local labor trends, as well as tools available to jump start their job search."
