BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities want to talk to the ex-boyfriend of a young woman found slain in a Bradenton apartment.
Manatee County Sheriff's officials say 25-year-old Myslene
Gabriel was found dead Monday morning after an anonymous caller
advised them to check on the condition of the resident in apartment
515. Deputies found Gabriel in the living room. Her 2-year-old
daughter was unharmed in a bedroom. The girl and a 3-year-old son
were taken into protective care.
On April 5th, Gabriel called the sheriff's office to report domestic violence at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Bryan Stanford. Sheriff's spokesman Dave Bristow said Stanford was not at the apartment when deputies arrived that day.
Stanford was released from state prison in December after
serving a three-year sentence on felony gun and drug charges.
