Actions Taken: Meeting of the Florida Board of Governors on Tuition Costs

Updated: 06/21/2012 - The FL Board of Governors voted on FAMU’s proposed tuition increase of 15% and it failed. A second motion was made to raise tuition by 12% and the BOG approved it in a vote of 12-4, subject to modifying the work plan in the areas noted in the Strategic Planning Committee. The BOG voted on FSU’s proposed tuition increase of 15% and it failed. A second motion was made to raise tuition by 14% and it failed. A third motion was made to raise tuition by 13% and the BOG approved it in a vote of 9-7.
