Florida Awarded Over 3 Million for Disability Employment Initiative

The Florida Lottery announces that Arturo Flowers, 30, of Perry, claimed a $500,000 prize in the GOLD RUSH TRIPLER Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters. Flowers purchased his winning ticket at Winn-Dixie, located at 2057 S. Byron Butler Parkway in Perry.

New Webpage and Summit to Raise Awareness on Human Trafficking

Attorney General Pam Bondi today launched a new webpage dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking and recent efforts to make Florida a zero-tolerance state for human trafficking. A summit has also been scheduled to start a statewide conversation among community leaders, child advocates, students and professionals about the status of human trafficking in our communities.

Old EBT Cards to be Phased Out

The Department of Children and Families wants to remind clients who receive food assistance, Temporary Cash Assistance, Refugee Assistance, and Food Assistance Employment and Training payments that their old Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards with the flag design will be deactivated on September 21, 2012.
