Wes Taylor to be Honored in D.C. Friday

Lowndes High School Principal Wes Taylor will accept the award for National High School Principal of the Year at a banquet in Washington, DC., with his wife and children.

Taylor was chosen among three finalists and recognized for his leadership, curriculum, team building and increasing Lowndes High School's graduation rate.

Statistics show that since 2003, the graduation rate has gone up by about 13 percent.

Taylor in his eighth year as principal for Lowndes High.
