The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce and VSU's Small Business Development Center partnered to give women an opportunity to network, educate and inspire one another.

About 50 female businesses owners fanned out their wares to the community and talked about ways to succeed in this challenging economy.

"To learn from each other and to have that support because in today's day and time with the economy the way it is, you have to have different avenues to take your business to the next level," said Monica Page, with VSU's Small Business Development Center.

Women also had the opportunity to learn how to get certified with the non-profit Greater Women's Business Council--an organization that helps partner women with area corporations.
