ATLANTA (AP) -- Atlanta police say an elderly woman who was in
town to see a high school football game has died after being hit by
Peach County coroner Kerry Rooks tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that 82-year-old Ruby Young died early Saturday morning at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Atlanta police say two people were attempting to cross a street in Midtown Atlanta after the Friday night game between Grady High
and Peach County when they were hit by a car.
Phillip Young of Fort Valley suffered leg injuries but was in
stable condition at Grady.
Ruby Young suffered head injuries.
Police say neither pedestrian was in a crosswalk.
The driver was not charged.
