LEESBURG, Ga. (AP) -- Georgia state troopers say 12 members of a Lee County river cleanup crew have been hospitalized in a traffic accident.
Trooper Andrew McKenzie told WALB-TV Saturday that a City of Leesburg police van carrying volunteers broke down on Highway 118 and was getting help from a police SUV in the opposite lane.
Authorities say a tractor trailer sideswiped the van and the volunteers suffered minor injuries.
