As the Georgia Goodwill Ambassador 9-year-old Ian Willis will make public appearances throughout the community to encourage year-round educational and fund-raising campaigns to help MDA.
Ian's already taken trips to Gainesville and Tallahassee to hand out awards. He was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Myopathy at age four, but says he wants people to know how they can help by giving back.
"I tell them that they can help raise money for kids that have diseases that, like, can't walk with this disease," Willis says.
Ian has raised 800 dollars in the past two years for the MDA camp. His goal is to meet Jerry Lewis from the MDA telethon and actor Jack Black.
