Valdosta, GA - Hundreds of Valdosta residents are enjoying having electricity once again after losing power for more than six hours.
The Georgia Power Electric Company says 800 customers lost power when a tree toppled over on a power line at 10:30 am Thursday morning on East Park Ave. Even the nearby traffic lights went dark.
Officials say the tree fell because of the heavy wind and rain in Valdosta.
Everyone's power should have been restored by 7:00 pm.
