Calm Camilla Robbery Puzzles Police

Camilla, GA - Police need your help finding a suspect in an armed robbery.

It happened last Tuesday November 20, 2012 at the Family Dollar in Camilla, GA.

Police say a man went in and told the cashier to give him money.

They say he had a gun in his waistband.

He then told the cashier to go to the back of the store until he left.

The cashier was not able to give a specific description of the suspect.

Camilla Police Department Release

On Tuesday November 20, 2012 at approximately 1420 hrs, a single black male described as, approximately 5’6” to 5’8” in height, wearing a black leather type jacket, a “do-rag” (stocking) on his head, and wearing large framed eye glasses, approached the cash register as a customer, and then demanded money from the cashier.

The suspect had a black in color, handgun (revolver) in his waistband area and showed it to the cashier. The suspect had waited until no other customers were around the register at the time. The suspect instructed the cashier to give him the money from the register and then ordered her to walk to the back of the store and wait until he left. The cashier complied and the suspect walked casually out of the store.

There were other customers inside the store at the time, however they were in the rear section of the store and had no idea the robbery was taking place. The suspect appeared calm and never raised his voice; he spoke in a normal, yet forceful tone.
