[UPDATE] Body Found in Thomas County

Deputies said the cause of death is still unknown and autopsy results revealed no blunt force trauma a toxicology has been done and results can take four to sixteen weeks. Samuels' was an employee for several years at Moore & Porter in Thomasville.

"I didn't believe it I still don't believe it .. I know he's gone and the way they sait it happened its just hard to believe," said Moore and Porter Office Manager Michelle Shiver.

Funeral arrangements are set for Saturday at 3:00 PM at Lamar Street Church of God in Bainbridge.
A passerby called Deputies when he stumbled upon what he thought was a body.

Deputies said the body has been identified as 29-year-old Markilous Samuel.

Samuel's body was found on US Highway 19 South right next to Glenn-Mor Nursing Home.

The body has been sent to the crime lab to determine the exact cause of death.

The case is still under investigation by the Thomas County Sheriff's office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Deputies said preliminary results right now are inconclusive they are still waiting to hear results from the crime lab.

On Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at around 8:45 AM a body was discovered on US Hwy 19 about 2 miles South of Thomasville, according to Lt. Steven Jones with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office The body was discovered approximately 75 to 100 yards from the highway in the woods.

The deceased, Markilous Samuel, 29 year old male has been sent to the crime lab to determine the cause of death.

The case is being investigated by the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

    Sad that so many people will comment on a mall in Tallahassee, yet a man is found dead and nobody comments. Friends? Family? Who was this guy?

    @Anonymous 12:29: Please call the police and tell them what you saw. Time frames are important and what can sometimes seem insignificant to us is a valuable piece of information to law-enforcement.
