All year long, Boston, GA will be celebrating it's 175th anniversary of the founding of Boston. Starting Friday evening, all are welcome to participate in 24 hours of festivities.
The 24 hour Art-a-Thon starts Friday, March 16th, at 5 p.m. and goes until 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17th. Members of the community and visitors are invited to the Acidental Gallery on Main st. to participate in events.
"There's tons of different activities going on. You can come and do art, you can come and show your art, we'll have local praise groups singing, there will be performers here. It's just a lot of things going on, lots of freebies and goodies around," said Ashley Prevatt, a member of the Boston Community Club.
"We're going to have a series of events throughout the year, and this one we hope will attract a lot of home people in addition to a lot of visitors that will be coming back for the event," added Mayor Danny Groover.
There will be dinner and a show Friday night. Some of the more interesting art includes a painting made by a leaf blower.
