Brooks Co, GA - Brooks County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested Christopher Westberry on charges of manufacturing marijuana.
Deputies confiscated a dozen pot plants from his home. The street value is $12,000.
"You couldn't see them from the road but when the agents pulled up in the yard, you could see one plant in the middle of the yard. And the eleven other plants were behind the chicken coop in the backyard," said Sheriff Mike Dewey.
Deputies went to the residence on John Buck McCoy Road in the Northwestern part of the county responding to an anonymous tip. On arrival, deputies say they found plants four to six feet tall.
"With that many plants it was not for home use. He was probably selling them," Sheriff Dewey said. "We've had folks right here in the city that's had them growing out of flower beds before. So where ever they can put them, they'll put them."
Westberry has bonded out of jail for $10,000.
